From October 26 to 27, the 2019 Second China Longling Songshan Mountain Bicycle Speed Down International Invitational Tournament will be held in Longling County, Baoshan, Yunnan Province, from the Yunnan Myanmar Highway to the "the Belt and Road".

At that time, more than 80 professional elite athletes, Volkswagen drivers, female drivers, and teenage drivers from 10 countries around the world, including the UK, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, Norway, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Singapore, and China, will gather in Longling to inherit history, challenge limits, ride downhill, and enjoy cycling.

It is reported that this invitational competition adheres to the concept of "harmony" and "green" competition, organically combining the bicycle downhill culture with the Songshan Anti Japanese War culture in Longling. Under the premise of protecting the geomorphic conditions and ecological environment of the Songshan Grand Site Park, a mountain downhill track is redesigned and constructed strictly in accordance with the requirements of international competitions and competition difficulty. The downhill race track is planned and designed by top domestic designers, and the entire track is like a dragon hovering between the fields and forests of Songshan. The track starts from the mountaintop on the left side of the Songshan Campaign Monument, gallops down the Almuzhai and Shaorenpo Pass, passes through the Songshan Cadre Education and Training Base, flies over the highway, and falls into the Songshan Campaign Memorial Hall and the Yunnan Myanmar Highway Museum Square. The track consists of forest tracks, high-speed tracks, and Tengyue Road sections, covering technical points such as jumping platforms and curves, with an average width of 1.2 meters and a total length of about 1500 meters. The entire track runs between the Songshan forest and mountainous areas, It not only allows participating drivers to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the entire Songshan, but also allows them to experience the thrilling and fun of cycling in the rugged terrain of Songshan.

In this competition, the Longling Huanglong Jade medal will once again appear on the invitational field, using the form of "gold inlaid jade" as the only designated jade species to produce the competition medal. This is also another collision and integration between international sports events and Longling Huanglongyu, following the 23rd Asian Table Tennis Championships, the 2017 FIFA FIFA World Cup, the 2017 China Top 10 Lawrence Championship, the 2019 International Intellectual Sports Federation World Masters Championships, and the first China Longling Songshan Mountain Cycling Speed Drop International Invitational. In this competition, Longling County, the origin of Huanglong Jade, will provide 15 gold inlaid jade medals, including 5 gold, silver, and bronze medals each.

Mountain bike downhill, originating in 1976, is an exciting and thrilling extreme sport that experiences the thrill and pleasure of riding at a high speed down a mountain. Driving a downhill bike quickly descends on complex and ever-changing mountain roads at speeds of 50-80km/h or even faster. According to official statistics from the UCI International Cycling Federation, the number of people worldwide who enjoy and pay attention to downhill mountain cycling is constantly increasing. In 2012, the viewing video of the downhill competition event exceeded one million people, with an annual growth rate of over 30%.

This competition is guided by the General Administration of Sport of China, the China Cycling Sports Management Center, and the China Cycling Association. It is jointly hosted by Longling Songshan Grand Site Park Management Co., Ltd., Beijing Zhongshi Yiyang Sports Culture Media Co., Ltd., and Beijing Dongfang Yayi Enterprise Management Co., Ltd.
